CINI starts E-Learning Platform to share its five decade long experience

Kolkata: Child In Need Institute (CINI NGO) has announced to share its five decade long experiences with the general people and student community through an E-learning platform, to commemorate its 50th year of existence. The event was initiated through sessions on comprehensive classic ECHO Programme on Prevention of Child Drowning.

Present on this occasion were dignitaries including Dr. Samir Narayan Chaudhury founder and Secretary of CINI; Meghendra Banerjee, Chief of Programmes (COP) CINI; Sujoy Roy, National Advocacy Officer (NAO) CINI; Marine Mukherjee State Head WB, CINI and Haresh Chandwani, Senior Manager, ECHO-INDIA.

Inaugurating this initiative, Dr. Samir Narayan Chaudhuri, Founder and Secretary of CINI, said, “These certificate courses will have a huge impact on anyone wanting to pursue higher education in the field of NGO management. The organization plans to launch many such courses in the near future.”

Sujoy Roy, National Advocacy Officer, CINI, “Though child deaths have been an issue much deliberated upon at Government and NGO levels, such deaths due to drowning, has emerged to take up 15% of total child death burden, thus it’s a cause of huge concern. This e-course will be a first of its kind to address the issue.”

This first ever Short Certificate course is designed as a three months duration course comprising of two one hour session per week. The course content will be on a wide range of public health subjects in a case based learning format.

These courses will be offered in collaboration with ECHO-INDIA using their digital networking platform and participants will also be awarded a certificate on completion with lifelong access to the training materials.

Eminent faculties from CINI and other renowned national and international Institutions such as the Institute of Health and Family Welfare-Government of West Bengal, The George Institute for Global Health, Australia will be facilitating these courses.
