Kolkata: On the auspicious occasion of Durga Puja, the Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Amit Shah inaugurated the Ram Temple-themed Durga Puja Pandal in Kolkata, West Bengal.

In his address to the gathering, Amit Shah emphasized the significance of Maa Durga’s valour and recounted her legendary triumphs over various demons, from Raktabeej to Shumbha-Nishumbha, in her pursuit to uphold truth and righteousness.

Union Home Minister highlighted the essence of the nine-day festival in West Bengal to be profound as the devotion to Maa Durga resonates across the numerous pandals worshipping the goddess in the region.

He further elaborated on the diverse ways in which Maa Durga is worshipped throughout the country during Navratri, with Gujarat adorning the Mandap of Maa Durga, Eastern India engrossed in the vibrancy of Durga Puja Pandals, and various rituals being performed in North India to venerate the divine power of Shakti.

Expressing his heartfelt prayers to Maa Durga, Amit Shah extended his wishes for the well-being, peace, and prosperity of the entire nation, including the people of West Bengal.
